Gallaway Dairy Site
The
Gallaway Dairy site is 1076 acres (that can be divided) about 4 miles to the south west of
Lockney. It is permitted for 4000 hd/3000 milking. It is
located 11 miles
east of Plainview, Texas on US 70, turn south 2 miles on FM 2883. Highway
access. All irrigated with 10 electric wells that are 60 to 100hp. 4 pivots:
1- 8 tower Valley, 1- 9 tower Zimmatic, 1- 12 tower Valley, and a 16 tower
Zimmatic. All under ground pipeline is 50 psi PVC closed system. Each pivot
has 1600 gal fertilizer tanks along with injector pumps and chemigation
valves. Auto start and stop to all wells. Ample feed opportunities with this
site. Lots of farm land surrounding site and new ethanol plant to be
complete in October of 2007 (a source of distillers grain). There is one
heifer grow yard within 20 miles of site with another permitted site about 5
miles away.
This location is within 12 miles of I-27, 60 miles of Lubbock and 80 miles
from Amarillo. Jet service to Amarillo airport (1 1/2 hours away) and
Lubbock airport (45 minutes away).
